Hairdressing
Our hairdressing courses will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills for use in today's ever changing industry. Your specialist skills will be developed by working in a vibrant commercial environment with the support of expert trainers and assessors. This means you will get to grips with real aspects of service due to first-hand experience within the industry.
Content
Training ranges from Level 1 to Level 3 and the programme's strong vocational nature is reinforced as you will be required to carry out practical, written and oral assessments in order to develop commercial awareness within employment. Training is held on a day release basis at our Learning Centre where we provide a realistic working environment with treatments performed on fee paying clients. Guest lecturers from product companies, study trips and competitions complement learning.
Programme Entry Requirements
On application, you will attend a formal interview with a member of the training team. An initial assessment will take place to determine the appropriate course entry level. A high level of commitment to learning and aspiration to progress into the industry must be displayed.
Progression
Our courses will allow you to develop your study skills so you can reach your full potential thus progressing onto further learning or into employment. These qualifications could lead to opportunities such as working in salons, leisure centres, cruise ships, TV, stage or film, spas, hotels or even running your own business. Our Training Salon is designed and equipped in line with current industry requirements.
