Engagement Programme
Our Engagement programme is designed for 16-19 year olds who are unsure of the career path they wish to follow and need support in exploring their options for moving forward.
The programme focuses on employability skills (CV writing, job searches, interview techniques, appropriate behaviour at work, etc.) and improving your numeracy, literacy and digital literacy skills. During this time we will also offer you taster sessions across all the routes that we offer in HCT:
The programme focuses on finding you a suitable placement and developing a progressive route for you so that you leave the programme with either a progression to our Advancement programme, an Apprenticeship or employment.
The length of the programme depends on your individual goals and learning pace. We offer an initial programme period of 26 weeks; however, as Jobs Growth Wales+ is flexible and personalised, the time it takes to complete may be shorter or longer depending on your needs.
Learners receive a training allowance of up to £60 a week (based on 30 hours per week), lunch allowance and can claim reasonable travelling expenses to attend the programme.
The Jobs Growth Wales + programme is led by the Welsh Government.
