Business Administration

A qualification in Business Administration is relevant to those working in or looking to work in a business administration role or similar, for example Administrator, Business Support Officer, Office Assistant or Receptionist. The training is designed to teach learners how to increase their performance and productivity and save the business money.

Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration

The Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration is for if you are working in or looking to work in a business administration role or similar, for example Administrator, Business Support Officer, Office Assistant, Receptionist.

Mandatory Units:

  • Communication in a Business Environment 
  • Understand Employer Organisations
  • Principles of Providing Administrative Services
  • Principles of Business Document Production and Information Management
  • Manage Personal Performance and Development 
  • Develop Working Relationships with Colleagues

As well as the mandatory units, your training advisor will work with you and your employer to select optional units relevant to your role.

We will tailor your learning programme to suit your needs, so that everyone's experience is unique. While needs differ, the recommended time to complete this programme is 15 months. 

Once you have completed your Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship, you could progress onto the Level 3 Apprenticeship to advance and improve your professional skills. 

Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration

The Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration is aimed at people who already have experience of office-based skills and wish to specialise in business and administration functions. It also includes those either in, or preparing for, a line management role such as an Office Manager or Team Leader.

Mandatory Units:

  • Communication in a Business Environment
  • Manage Personal and Professional Development
  • Principles of Administration
  • Principles of Business Communication and Information
  • Principles of Business 

In addition to the mandatory units, you can choose from a range of optional units which show your ability to negotiate, supervise, manage and contribute to the running of an office.

The Level 3 Apprenticeship should take you around 15 months to complete.
