Wood Occupations

The course aims to provide you with the practical skills, knowledge and experience to enable you to work effectively within the Construction Industry.

HCT have a range of courses which are tailored for people wishing to enter the Industry, or for qualified carpenters to gain further qualifications in their field.

Content

The course includes: -

Roof work, joisting, kitchen units, hanging doors, locks and letter plates, fitting skirting boards, door frames, stairs, encasing services, stud partition walling, moving and handling resources, installing first fixing components - installing second fixing components, erecting structural carcassing components, conforming to general work place safety, confirming work activities and resources for work.

Training can be tailored to suit clients based on individual and / or industry requirements.

Progression

You will have the opportunity to progress to a higher level qualification or to take up a higher Apprenticeship.
