Our 20 week Engagement programme is for 16-18 year olds that are unsure of the career they wish to follow and need support in exploring their options for moving forward.
Learners receive an allowance of £30 a week to attend the Engagement programme and can claim reasonable travelling expenses to attend.
The programme is around 24 weeks long and consists of an initial 12-week period that focuses on Employability and Essential Skill training, followed by an 8-week work placement / trials, when progressive routes are explored in more depth.
The Traineeship programmes we offer cover all routes and last 40-52 weeks, with learners gaining a Level 1 NVQ in the subject of their choice.
Whilst on the Traineeship programme, learners will receive a £50 a week allowance (based on a minimum of 30 hours a week) and can claim reasonable travel costs.
The model is based around 4 days in a work placement (e.g. a shop or garage) and one day at Llanbadarn Learning Centre, where you will be given Essential Skills training (numeracy, literacy and digital literacy) whilst also covering the theoretical aspects of your course.
